I'm so sleepy, but of course I had to write in my Media and Society blog first! I just finished watching the movie Good Luck Chuck. It's definitely a great watch, Jessica Beale is so pretty. I'm now watching that 70's show, it's pretty funny too. My favorite tT.V. channels are FX, ABC family, and of course TLC.

- Today has been a pretty busy day. I started off my day with a sugar cookie and a little music on my computer to get ready too. I downloaded Itunes and I purchase each song I listen to. I feel it's not fair to the musician if someone is to download music for free. I didn't listen to the radio today, instead i listened to my itouch in my car. I love being able to pick the song i want to hear, and i've heard about all the advertisements on 101.9 more then enough. I can almost predict what they are about to say.

I took back my movie Precious today, I rented it at a Redbox because those little machines are possibly the best invention EVER. It's so convenient, and they are located everywhere around Fayetteville. Plus they are only 1 dollar a day, how awesome!? My cell phone is once again dying, it would help if i left it on the charger more then 15 minutes at a time. I always have so many people texting me it's hard to keep going back to check my phone while im doing something else. Well i guess that's about it for now, im off to bed.

-----Good Evening!!

I'm sitting in the floor watching Precious as I write this post. It's such a good movie, it really moves me! I now know why it was up for so many awards. It's amazing how such a simple and cheap movie can make such an impression on the human society. The sad part is that many people really do suffer from abuse within the family. My cell phone is dying, and im too tired to get up and plug it in..it's pretty late i suppose i should be asleep, but i had to write about the media in my life today! The media has been a big part of my life all day. I have been on the phone a lot with my mom since she was heading back home, and my dad called me too. I love when he calls me! I laid on the couch and watched the Tyra Banks show, and then I watched the Food Network, imagine that! I watched an episode of Chopped today and it was pretty intense. During a commercial i seen the advertisement for one of those big cupcake pans and i automatically wanted one! I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and they were sealing them for $30.00, then i went to Walgreens and seen them on sale for $20.00. On the Tyra show she was interviewing the CEO of girls gone wild, Joe Francis'. He was talking about his past and how he had dated several celebrities and how he was kidnapped once, and held at gun-point. Several people weren't aware of this and how he was saved by celebrity Paris Hilton.

This evening I got on the library website, thanks to wireless internet, and looked up sources for my english paper, which i began! But it's getting late so im going to go to bed now.

Today has been a long day. I moved into my new apartment in the Crownes. It's really nice. My mom came up after taking my dad to the airport and helped me. She's a sweetie. I was many interactions with the media today, such as listening to the radio while i was in my car, and watching numerous shows on television. The radio station i listen to the most is 101.9. Occasionally i will listen to 107.9 and 105.7 but it just depends on what is playing. I like hip hop music the most and there aren't very many stations in the Fayetteville area that play that kind of music. It seems like every time i listen to the radio i hear the song Telephone by Lady Gaga and Beyonce, it's a good song, but i feel like it's played a little too much and it will be getting old soon.

When i watch t.v. i normally watch the food network, or hgtv, or something like that. The food network is always interesting. They are advertising a new show that just started called "Chopped" and it looks as if it's going to be very good! Im excited about watching it tomorrow night!

Of course I had my cell phone by me the entire day. I probably sent and received 300 + text messages today. I talked to my dad today too before he flew out to Orlando. I wish i was going there, but he's going to work so then again im glad i am not going.

Tomorrow night im going to rent and watch the movie precious. I noticed it was up for a lot of awards at the Oscar's, so im curious as to what made the film so entertaining... Well that's about it for now, I'll post tomorrow!
